Junior Counsel

London
Job Description

Job Title: Junior Counsel
Report Line: UK Head of Real Estate (Legal)
Department: Wildstone Legal
Location: London

Overview:

Wildstone owns a portfolio of over 5,000 out-of-home media assets and is helping shape the future of the advertising market through digitisation. This is an ambitious, fast-paced organisation with big plans for the future of the global outdoor media industry.

Wildstone has experienced a strong period of growth and is looking for a highly capable, commercially minded real estate lawyer to join its UK legal team to assist with the next stage of development.

The role:

You can expect to be involved in a wide variety of UK real estate transactions, acquiring freehold and leasehold interests. This is a hands-on role as part of a small, close-knit team, where you will conduct due diligence, prepare and negotiate real estate transaction documents and provide advice to the business on all relevant property legal issues.

On larger matters, you will instruct external counsel, so your co-ordination and project management skills will be to the fore. You will also support corporate acquisitions and advise the estate management team on property disputes.

From the outset, you can expect to have access to senior management and will need to develop strong working relationships with people across the business, both in the UK and internationally where increasingly the UK teams provide guidance and support.

About you:

You will have a good grounding in real estate transactions, gained at a City firm or a regional practice with a well-regarded profile.

This role will suit a UK qualified solicitor with good academics and up to two years PQE, looking to make a first move in-house, with a keen interest in developing their skills over time as part of a collaborative and friendly team.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent drafting skills, strong communication and analytical skills and good commercial awareness.
