Wildstone, Europe's leading owner of outdoor media infrastructure, are thrilled to announce its latest strategic move into the German market through the successful acquisition of AdverTower. This milestone marks a significant step in Wildstone's international expansion strategy.
The acquisition includes three valuable, double-sided highway sites. Among them is the impressive 35-metre-high digital tower located in Linkenbach, along the A3 motorway between Cologne and Frankfurt. This towering structure stands out as one of Europe's largest LED advertising towers, boasting two 173 square meter LED displays. Additionally, the acquisition encompasses two analogue towers situated in Ransbach-Baumbach, which Wildstone intends to convert to digital.
The transaction was facilitated and managed by PERICON Unternehmensberatung GmbH in Wiesbaden, who specialize in company successions.
Michael Hofnagel, Partner at PERICON, comments:
"I, along with the outgoing shareholders, am extremely pleased with the successful transaction, and I am glad that we were able to carry forward the vision of the company founders and entrust it to the capable and proven hands of Wildstone."
Furthermore, Wildstone has secured a partnership with blowUP media, a well-known subsidiary of the Ströer Group, as the media tenant for all three sites.
The move into the German OOH sector is part of Wildstone's broader mission to replicate the remarkable success achieved in the UK and expand their footprint across the continent. The company has already established its presence in various European countries, including the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Spain, and now Germany.
Jonathan Chandler, Group Managing Director at Wildstone, says:
"The deal-making ability of our European Business Development Director, Ivo ter Wee, has helped secure a seed portfolio of premium advertising assets in one of Europe's largest OOH markets. From this seed, we will grow a DACH portfolio equivalent to what we have built elsewhere in Europe under the leadership of our Regional Director, Stefan Bergler.
We are grateful for the support from our advisors at Osborne Clarke and Pericon for advising the seller’s family-office throughout the transaction.
We look forward to growing our relationship with Ströer and other media operators across the DACH region as we deliver on our growing pipeline of opportunities."
